Farewell Textbooks, Hello Holidays!!

Heyyy,

Finally, the holidays are upon us, and all the hard work is off!!....well...for most of us! :-P

Last week we said farewell to 2 teachers at R.P.S. Mr. Wynde, who Mrs. Rawlins will now be filling in for in 4W. (lucky grade 4's!!!!) and Mr. K , our awesome P.E teacher. Many tears were shed at the end of term assembly (some of which were mine, and fellow house captains), we will miss them very much and will always remember both of them!

In my grade 6CH we made a "Football tips for Dummies" booklet for Mr. K and also started filming us acting out our little sayings. Mine was "To play football, you MUST leave the field dirty, otherwise you are NOT considered a real football player." So I acted that out, it went well, i won't go into details :-)

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their holidays, and that we'll see you all next term!

Salvation Army...

Hey Everybody!!

I forgot to mention last time that the Senior Ministers of R.P.S are supporting a charity of their choice this year. I am doing the "Salvation Army with my friends, Adele and Kelsey, and also with Dave, Karanjot and Aryaan.
Let me tell you that the Salvation Army is a GREAT cause. They help:

• The homeless.
• People who have suffered abuse.
• The hungry.
• And drug, alcohol and gambling addicts.

The Salvation Army help LOADS of people and families and that's why I chose them. There are many ways to volunteer for the Salvation Army. Check their website (I will post on the side with the archive, pictures, etc.) and you will see.

R.P.S is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! =D

Hey readers!,

In level 4 our topic has been "Open For Business" (or "Earn and Learn" but i think the other one sounds cooler, personally!=P). Each grade has a country name, the ones in my building are: Learnertania (5V), Turtleville (5Y), Yon Society (6Y) and of course..... THE UNITED TRIBES OF CHINNER!! (or the U.T.C for short, 6CH (my grade)) In my classroom we have our U.T.C leaders, Ms. Chinner (Prime Minister) Emily (Deputy Prime Minister), Dave (Bank Manager), Nathan (Government Treasurer), Adele (Shopping Centre Manager), Kelsey (Resource Minister) and Cindy (General Secretary). These are the main sort of jobs in the classroom, but of course there are some smaller jobs, like me for instance. I'm not a leader of the country or anytning (i applied bu didn't get it..) but I've discovered my OWN sort of business, I get to manage the "UTC Noticeboard!" !! I came up with the idea so miss chinner said i could just have that as a side job if i wanted. I get $25 for pretty much every advertisement that goes up there, and it ALL goes to me (oh yeaaah!!).

Also, Last week we have had Production auditions and call-backs and yours truly was one of those lucky people who got a call-back (applause!), but tomorrow we find out if we got in or not (suspenseful music plays!)!! I'm nervous, I mean i have a pretty good chance of getting in and all, but what if i don't? What if all my friends get in and I'm the only one that doesn't?? I guess we'll have to find out, eh?

REAAAALLY long time no type...

Heyy Everybody!!

I am so sorry i havn't posted in ages, there's just been so much school work going on!!

In the last few weeks of term 1 we have had quite a lot going on, on the 15th of March us grade 6's went on our grade 6 camp and let me tell you, it was AWESOME!!!
There were so many activities, so many funny times.....and the food was great too!! :-P

When we got back to school though, it had transformed before our eyes, (and no the buildings didn't turn into transformers or anything!) it was the night of the R.P.S school fete! This was one cool night because there was everything from, rides (cyclone, woooo!!), food (Sno conez and hot chips, mmmm..), a beer garden (okay no description for that one), market stalls in the gym (so many stalls so little time..) and a talent quest happening on the stage, which was hosted by Mr. Stuart Mackie!!! He is a personal friend of mine (oh yeah i know a guy in a money suit, wooo!!!)and he did a great job!
Also a BIIIIG thanks to all the parents and teachers that helped with all the stalls.
But a SUPER HUUUUUGE thanks to the F.O.R.P.S for organising the whole thing!! (applauding) They did an awesome job of setting up and cleaning up the fete, and spending countless nights going to each others houses to discuss everything. How do i know this you ask? Well my mum is on F.O.R.P.S so i got to see it all happen.....BEHIND THE SCENES!!! (dramatic music!!)

But now all us kids get to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the holidayz....AND EASTER! WOOOO CHOCOLATE!!! :P

Hello Again!! :-P

Hey long time no type, :-P

First of all i would just want to say sorry that I haven't found out about my group that I have been assigned to yet. I will probably find out next Monday and I will be sure to tell you ASAP. Speaking of next Monday that is our Badge Presentation, you should definitly rock up ro see the kids of R.P.S get their leadership badges. Also just so you know after the presentation their will be a morning tea to celebrate with the parents and family members of the children who have a leadership position.

Also on the 9th of March all the Senior Ministers will be going to the city to the State Parliament House, how cool is that?! We will be going on a train to the city and from there we will be heading to the State Parliament House to listen to an actual debate!! Then later we will be meeting with Kim Wells, the local MP. After we have met him and asked some questions we will head over to the Melbourne Museum and we will also be having lunch there, thought i should mention that. hahaha!!

One last thing, here at R.P.S we will be holding our school Fete on the 19th of March, so make sure to turn up, bring some stuff for the trash and treausure, buy some raffle tickets (1st prize is a red laptop, not a blue one, not a green one, but a RED laptop.) and most importantly, HAVE SOME MAJOR FUN!!

Prep Buddies!!! :-D

Hi Everybody it's Caitlin,

Last Friday all the grade 6's got a prep buddy!! I was assigned to Ms. Cottle's grade and me and my friend Cindy got little Sunny as our prep buddy for the year. We will be doing a lot of things with our preps this year so I'll try to keep you updated!!!

Grade 6 swimming is starting today and will be going on for the next 2 weeks so stay tuned!! :-P

Wow, the school Fete is so near, it's only a few weeks away!! The F.O.R.P.S are working very hard to make this the best fete EVER!!! :-D

Well i better go now, stay tuned for even MORE, events happening at R.P.S

Introducing Caitlin: Leader of 2010!! :-)

Heyy everybody, I'm Caitlin and i have made this blog for you to enjoy.
In this blog i will give you updates on any important things that have been happening at R.P.S.
Since i am a Senior Minsister AND a House Captain i will be able to give you 2 points of views on my updates.

Just to get into the swing of it, in a couple of weeks time R.P.S is having their twilight fete, this should be LOADS of fun so you should definetly come around to join us! Also on week 5 R.P.S will be having their badge presentation. The badge presentation is like a ceremony thing, where the school leaders all get their badges, i am looking forward to that very much since i am a leader myself!! hahahaha
